I began my career in loan origination at Veterans Mortgage Corp. in 1995 shortly after completing college with a degree in Finance and Advertising. During my time at Veterans Mortgage Corp., I was able to help many home buyers in my community with obtaining VA financing to purchase their first home and also helping current homeowners to refinance their current VA loan.
After doing some market research, I realized that by offering my services to more than just VA buyers/homeowners, I could actually help more people and offer them more loan programs with better rates for my clients.
So in 2001, I decided to make a change and work for C2 Financial Corp., which was the best thing I could have done.
Instead of only being able to offer the VA products, I could now shop through hundreds of different wholesale lenders for the best programs and rates for my clients. And I chose to work with a broker who is one of the largest, and because of its size, is able to negotiate preferred pricing and service for its client.
Our titles vary. We are mortgage consultants, loan originators, loan officers, and mortgage brokers. What does not vary is that every day, borrowers like you entrust us with one of the most important financial decisions of your life, that if not executed properly can have long-lasting repercussions as was witnessed in 2008 during the mortgage meltdown.
We know that despite our best efforts and the government’s best efforts to regulate the mortgage industry, our borrowers are too busy to review every last line of every single document . Our borrowers trust us as their mortgage adviser and that what they are signing is in their best interest. We do not take that responsibility lightly.
We do what is in the best interest for you, our client, not what is best for our pocketbook as some other brokers before us have done. We know by doing this, we not only are doing what is morally and ethically right, but we know this belief system will result in our borrowers referring us additional clients, the underpinnings of a long term relationship.
